Team Entertainment has revealed the complete tracklist of the upcoming soundtrack for Gravity Rush 2 (composed by Kohei Tanaka), which comprises no less than 4 CDs. The list is almost entirely in Japanese, and given my limited knowledge of Japanese, translating everything accurately is beyond my abilities. That said, I attempted to run it through automated translation services, and then clean up the results based on the names I recognized. You can find the result of that below.
Something that stands out is that the song “Red Apple” has no less than 5 versions: an accordion version, a music box version, a chant version, a regular version and an instrumental version. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that there’s a full version of the song as sung by Kat (Sanae Kobayashi) in-game. But needless to say, this remains a fantastic collection that I’ll certainly be importing. It’s worth noting that you can listen to previews of most of the songs on Amazon Japan’s page for the soundtrack here. The soundtrack of the original game is also still available.
The soundtrack is scheduled to be released on February 22. A special event will also be held on February 25 at the Tower Records Shinjuku Store in Japan to commemorate the release. Both Kohei Tanaka (Gravity Rush 2’s composer) and Keiichiro Toyama (Gravity Rush 2’s director) will be present there.
