Gravity Rush Central Celebrates Its 1st Anniversary!

Gravity Rush Central - 1st Anniversary

It’s been exactly one year since I made my first post on Gravity Rush Central’s website! Back then I didn’t imagine spending this much time on the project, but I’m really glad I did. Seeing Gravity Rush fans rally behind the #DontForgetGravityRush campaign was the highlight of the past 12 months, and it proved exactly what I wrote in my first post: even though Gravity Rush remained a niche franchise, it still has a very loyal fanbase. The Gravity Rush franchise may not be one of Sony’s most popular PlayStation franchised, but it’s a special one that won’t be forgotten. And success is all relative. Even now as sales of the game have slowed down, we still see hundreds of new players play the game for the first time every day. And every day, thousands of people still play one of the game’s Challenge Missions. There’s never a moment where someone in the world isn’t playing Gravity Rush 2 or Gravity Rush Remastered.

It’s not clear what the future holds for the Gravity Rush franchise, but it’s safe to say that we won’t be seeing another sequel anytime soon, as Team Gravity is hard at work on a different game now. But I hope Gravity Rush Central can contribute to keeping the franchise relevant. There are still plenty of articles I’ve yet to write about the Gravity Rush games, and I’m looking into adding articles from other people as well. To conclude, I’d like to thank everyone who followed Gravity Rush Central over the past 12 months, and I hope you’ll continue doing so in the future!

  1. Even tho I am a really big fan of Gravity Rush I had no idea this site existed or that the servers are going down just one year after the launch of the game… I guess I was quite busy this past months. I learned all of that recently and when I was trying to find what’s been happening this whole time I found also this site. I am really glad that the other fans out there are trying so hard to keep Gravity Rush alive. Now my problem is that I am actually not only late on learning the news but also late on the consoles as well! I bought a PS3 on December of 2014 and since I was late I wanted to take my time to enjoy PS3. When I bought PlayStation all stars battle royal on November 2016 this is when I learned about the Gravity Rush series, though the dlc. So I ended up buying a Psvita on January of 2017 just to play Gravity Rush. I knew Gravity Rush 2 was coming out that same time but I couldn’t also buy a Ps4 cause of the economy problems my family had and still has! And so once again I took my time. I bought a Gravity Rush cup just to support the franchise and tried to tell my friends about it since Gravity Rush isn’t famous at all in Greece. So as I was saying now that I learned that the servers are going down I will never have the chance to experience the full value of Gravity Rush 2 and that will be super disappointing for a hardcore loyal fan of Gravity Rush like me! Now I am “gravity rushing” to buy a Ps4 and the game at least two weeks before the shutdown to get as many costumes and textures I can on my limited time. When I get the game I might make a play through of it in English since there aren’t many YouTubers that made an English play through of it! I really love your hard work to support the game and expect my full support for it as well so that the world won’t forget Gravity Rush!
